MEET OUR TEAM
Hello! My name is Kait and I am a Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW) with a Masters of Social Work (MSW) from the University of St. Thomas. I work with adolescents (15+), adults, couples, and families who are experiencing the effects of trauma, stress, or transition in an effort to facilitate safety, healing, and wellbeing.
I believe how we experience the world is complex and includes our relational and developmental histories, genetics and biological make-up, experiences with others, and the systems in which we live. Collectively, these factors continuously impact how we feel, think and behave.
My approach to therapy is relational, collaborative and non-judgmental.
My hope as a therapist is to provide a space in which you feel safe and empowered to explore your unique experience while collaborating with you to identify opportunities for meaningful change and relationships. I believe each of us has the capacity for wellbeing, which is sometimes best ignited through support, connection, and exploration.
In this process, I pull from a variety of evidence-based therapy approaches that center around your hopes and goals. In addition to traditional talk therapy, I also have training in mindfulness, somatic (mind-body), and Internal Family Systems, or “parts work” therapy approaches, which can offer additional opportunities for healing and creativity.
When I’m not in the office, I enjoy spending time with my partner and dog, connecting with nature, hiking (lots of hiking!), growing my list of favorite coffee shops (suggestions always welcome!), and playing board games.
“Sometimes the bravest and most important thing you can do is just show up.”
