Relationships. Change. Life.
Hello! My name is Nicole, and I am pursuing my Master of Arts degree in marriage, couples, and family counseling at Adler Graduate School.
I truly believe in every individual’s ability to grow and change. I use encouragement and empowerment to guide self-awareness. My hope is that I can create a safe container for you to explore your inner world with me and that we can establish a trusting, collaborative therapeutic relationship. Like Maya Angelou’s quote, I want you to have a life that’s thriving, not merely just surviving.
I am passionate about working with those who are experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief/shame, life transitions, and-or concerns related to their sexuality or sexual health, and low self-esteem or self-worth.
I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and children. I am passionate about group therapy and how the group setting can promote change. I believe groups provide a unique and powerful setting where members can learn from one another, encourage connection, provide support, and develop greater empathy and compassion. I am currently working on creating a women’s support group to be offered in the future.
In my work I am attachment focused and use a variety of methods including emotionally focused therapy (EFT), internal family systems (IFS), Adlerian psychology, reality therapy/choice theory, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). My approach is strengths based and varies to suit individual needs. I believe in a holistic approach to counseling. I value that everyone has a unique experience and it is important to me to learn how each of your cultural backgrounds impacts your life and view of the world.
My hobbies in my spare time include anything outdoors, especially kayaking, going on walks, or to the dog park with my partner and our fur baby, Niles. I enjoy dancing, photography, traveling, cooking, and mindfulness activities such as yoga, meditation, and journaling. A fun fact about me is that I was born in Alaska.
If this feels like a good fit, feel free to reach out to me by email and we can find a time to connect. I look forward to meeting you!
