Trisha O'Bryant, Therapist

Trisha O'Bryant Ph.D. (ABD), LADC, LPCC

Therapist & MN BBHT Supervisor

Hello there! My name is Trisha O'Bryant and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in MN and TX.  I am also a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC). I have over 10 years of experience providing mental health services to individuals. I work with those who are 14+ and all services are offered solely online via the use of a HIPAA compliant video therapy platform. I am also a Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health Approved Supervisor for licensees pursuing their LADC.

My approach to therapy comes from the belief that the answers we are seeking are already inside of us. Having someone to help us navigate and remember what we forgot can be a key to the journey- and that is where our work together lies. As a therapist, I am intuitive and compassionate. I enjoy helping people identify their needs, strengths and goals while we map out the steps for living one’s most fulfilling life possible. I believe that in order for real change to occur, we need to examine our thoughts and behaviors. With greater awareness, a person can make desired changes and enjoy everyday life.

I work to understand each client’s unique story, so that we can apply an integrated approach that suits their individual needs and preferences. I specialize in helping people who struggle with anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship concerns, attachment difficulties, stress management, addiction, and more. The primary treatment approaches I use are: Mindfulness-based therapy, Solution-focused therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I also offer BRAINSPOTTING therapy for those interested in a different approach to deep healing than traditional talk therapy. This technique can be used in conjunction with traditional therapy, either as a portion of a normal session or an entire session. Brainspotting can be appropriate if you feel like you have unresolved emotions, developmental/attachment issues, and trauma or have hit a plateau in traditional therapy.

It would be my honor to work with you and support you on your journey!
