Relationships. Change. Life.
Hi! My name is Elaina Kapuska and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). I believe your uniqueness will shape what support and healing looks like in our work together. As a BIPOC therapist, I strive to be a life-long learner and unlearner, and approach my practice with cultural humility. I would be honored to walk alongside and support you in your healing.
I work with folks 15 years and older who are wanting to discuss topics related to stress management, low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity development, grief/bereavement, and trauma. I implement therapeutic modalities such as ACT, Person-Centered, and Multicultural Therapy, as well as teaching CBT skills. My hope is for our sessions to feel conversational and I will provide you with authentic compassionate care.
I received my Master of Arts in Counseling and Psychological Services at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota and my internship experience was at Sexual Violence Center. I am passionate about providing a safe space for victim-survivors, helping them recognize the impacts of systemic structures, and support them in their pursuit of justice. My undergraduate degree was in Education and Social Studies from Hamline University. My education background allows me to understand the nuances of a school environment and how it can impact an individual.

“If you can, honor your own process. Let it unfold like a difficult and fascinating story, informing and enlightening you as you go. Know that you are the expert about what you need at any given time, though it might take a little effort to figure out what that is.”
