Relationships. Change. Life.
Hello! My name is Ambrose, and it is nice to meet you! I am a pre-licensed therapist with experience in individual and group settings. I am a queer and neurodivergent therapist who lives with chronic health conditions, and I believe that healing begins in a space where you feel truly safe, seen, and accepted.
I am deeply committed to working with LGBTQ+ individuals, people with disabilities, and neurodivergent clients, and I bring a genuine passion for affirming care to every therapeutic relationship. I understand that each person carries a unique story, and I approach that story with curiosity, compassion, and respect.
In my work, I support clients navigating anxiety, complex trauma, religious trauma, interpersonal relationship challenges, and depression. Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Adlerian Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy, I tailor my approach to each client's unique needs rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all method.
I hold a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adler Graduate School and gained clinical experience through my internship at Tubman. I am currently working toward Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) licensure under supervision. My goal is to create a collaborative therapeutic relationship where clients can explore their experiences, build on their strengths, and move toward meaningful and lasting change.
Outside of the office, I love to garden, play video games, and create digital art. I also enjoy spending time with my chosen family, spouse, and my wonderful two cats: Jiji and Dinah, and two German Shepherds: Kylie and Sasha.
Please feel free to reach out with any questions you may have! I do offer 15-minute phone consultations to see if we are a good fit and you receive the care you need.
