Contracted Therapist

Accepting New Clients

Hello! My name is Courtney, and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Minnesota (LICSW) and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Pennsylvania (LCSW). I provide individual therapy for older adolescents (ages 16+) and adults, offering in-person sessions in Minnesota and virtual therapy for clients in Minnesota or Pennsylvania.

Everyone deserves a space where they feel safe, understood, and empowered to be themselves. I feel privileged to help create that space through therapy. My goal is to create a warm, collaborative environment where we can explore life's challenges together at a pace that feels right for you. As I often tell clients, "You're Batman, and I'm Robin." You're in charge of the direction, and I'm here to support you every step of the way.

I specialize in trauma recovery and have experience supporting clients with anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, and patterns in relationships. I’ve worked extensively with survivors of domestic violence and early childhood trauma, and I approach this work with deep respect for each person’s story. I recognize that our identities, relationships, and lived experiences shape how we move through the world, and I strive to offer care that feels affirming, respectful, and responsive to the full context of your life.

I am trained in EMDR and often incorporate this approach to support clients in processing trauma and painful life experiences. I also draw from CBT, ACT, Schema Therapy, and I-CBT, tailoring each approach to your unique goals and what feels most helpful for you.

Outside the therapy room, I enjoy playing pinball, visiting art museums, watching old movies, and snuggling with my three rabbits.

“In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer. And that makes me happy. For it says that no matter how hard the world pushes against me, within me, there’s something stronger – something better, pushing right back.”
