My role is a collaborator, partner, and sometimes guide, walking with you to address the concerns you have and developing a plan together. While I utilize methods that have been studied and validated, I will work with you to identify what best meets your needs as opposed to jumping in with broad assumptions, premature conclusions, and off the shelf/one-size-fits-all approaches.

One thing I can promise you is that I will meet you where you are; that you will know you are heard; and that I will support you fully in your pursuit of the change you seek. Bottomline: I may have the training, but you are the expert on you and that is most important. In terms of presenting issues I work with: depression, anxiety, stress, relationships, career, grief and loss, perfectionism, adult children of alcoholics/addicts, substance use, life transitions, aging, Sandwich Generation experiences. Outside of my work, I enjoy time with my beloved and our adult sons. Additionally, I am an avid reader of all sorts of things (and appreciate suggestions), but most notably I am an obsessed fan of the New York Mets, which has given me a keen understanding of life’s joys (not guaranteed) and sorrows (more than we wish). I hope to have the opportunity to work together.
