Relationships. Change. Life.
My name is Jonathan, I specialize in developmental trauma, attachment disruptions, men’s issues, and grief and loss. I have experience providing support for families with disrupted parent-child relationships, teens, young adults, Spanish-speakers, and immigrants.
I use an eclectic approach to therapy to best meet clients’ individual needs. In therapy we will use tools from different modalities and interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT), Trauma and Grief Component Therapy (TGCTA) & Positive Parenting Program (Triple P).
I completed my master’s degree in clinical social work at the University of Texas at Austin in 2022, and my bachelor’s degree in psychology at the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2016. I’m a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Minnesota and Texas. On my free time I enjoy reading, long-distance running, traveling and watching movies.

I believe we all have the capacity and strengths to bring forth change that allow us to live healthy and fulfilling lives; sometimes we just need some support to get there. I believe relationships are agents of change that can help us meet our mental health goals; feeling understood, heard, and valued is what makes the therapist-client relationship one the more powerful tools in therapy. My role as your therapist would be to support you in identifying those strengths, deepen your self-insight and develop skills that will serve you long after therapy concludes.
